How do I find out when my roof was damaged by hail? 

Most roofing contractors, like Good Guys Roofing, subscribe to a service that let us search weather events (hail, wind, tornado, and etc). These services vary in functionality but many services like Hail Recon, HailStrike, HailWatch, & Hail Trace will generate detailed maps and drill down to individual property history. One of the larger services for this data is CoreLogic.

This is helpful because many property owners don't know their roof sustained hail damage until they get an unrelated (most roof leaks are not caused by hail damage) roof leak or sell their house.  Before you file a storm damage claim with your insurance carrier you'll need to figure out when the storm damaged your roof.
